Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Family Workshops
1. Does my child need to know how to count or handle money?
No prior knowledge is required. The activities are designed to be age-appropriate and children will be guided through the shopping experience. The focus is on trying, learning and building confidence through play.
2. What will parents do during the workshop?
Parents participate alongside their child as a supporter and learning partner. You will observe how your child makes choices, follows instructions and handles challenges, while learning simple ways to encourage greater independence in everyday situations.
3. What if my child needs more help with the activities?
That is perfectly fine. Children develop at different paces. The shopping activities have different levels of challenge, and parents and facilitators can provide guidance when needed. The aim is for each child to have a positive and enjoyable experience.
4. What should we bring to the workshop?
All workshop materials and pens will be provided. Children are welcome to bring their preferred writing materials. As the venue is air-conditioned, you may also wish to bring a light jacket for your child.
5. What does one ticket cover?
A standard ticket covers 1 child and 1 accompanying parent/guardian.
6. Will photos be taken during the workshop?
Yes. Shering may take photos during the workshop for documentation and promotional purposes. We will avoid clear front-facing images where possible. If a participant's face is clearly visible in an image used for promotional purposes, the face will be masked to protect their privacy.
