A fun first step into money, choices and independent buying

My First Shopping Adventure is a hands-on Parent-Child workshop for children aged 4–6. Ages 7–8 are also welcome.

Through playful mini-mart activities, children practise choosing items, using money, paying and communicating with a shopkeeper.

Parents join in, observe how their child approaches everyday tasks and pick up simple ideas to continue the learning during real shopping trips.

For children nearing Primary 1, the activities also help build confidence in simple situations such as choosing and paying for food during recess.

Children develop at different rates, so the workshop activities include different levels of challenge. They can participate at a level that is comfortable for them and progress when ready.

Simple shopping using easy whole-dollar amounts, with no coins required.

More choices, different prices and simple calculations.

Workshop Details

Suitable for: Children aged 4–6 with one parent or guardian
Date: 12 September 2026
Duration: 1.5 hours
Venue: Lorong Kilat, approximately 5–8 minutes’ walk from Beauty World MRT. Full venue details will be provided to confirmed participants.
Workshop Fee: S$80 S$60 promotional price per parent-child pair

One registration covers one child and one parent or guardian.

A second parent or guardian may attend for an additional S$20, subject to available workshop space.

What happens after you register?

1) You will receive a confirmation email within 3 business days.

2) Payment details and a QR code will be provided.

3) Your place will be secured once payment is completed.

4) Workshop fees are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, your booking may be transferred to the next available workshop held within one month of the original workshop date, subject to availability.

5) If Shering Skills Studio cancels the workshop, you may choose a full refund or transfer your booking to another available date.
